Paranormal investigations: ProlouguePrologue-
My head met the wall with a resounding thud. I started to slide down but a hand grabbed my throat and stopped me. I could feel the drywall start to crack as Vivian's hand started to close. My hand wrapped around her hands, trying to get her's off my neck, but I couldn't get any leverage. I tried to kick at her legs but she simply moved when I got close enough.
"Jamie! What's going on? Are you okay?! Gill yelled, banging on the door.
"Answer truthfully, and I'll finish what I've started." As if for emphasis, she stamped he foot and the floorboards started to crack. I heeded the warning.
"Everything's fine." I choked out. "I'm okay." Was it just me or was the room dimming? Gil's pounding on the door had started to beat in time with the pounding in my head. Black fog began to eat away at my vision. I looked Vivian as straight as I could. Her eye's were cold and ruthless. I know that she would follow though with what she said.
I smiled then called out.
"Gil, help!" I felt myself
possible endingWe both just sat on that cold rooftop for a while, I couldn't tell you how long. Just letting the adrenaline and shock flow out of our systems.
I stood up and helped him to his feet. We both decided against staying in Gil's apartment, and just walked in the flurrying snow to my house, shivering along the way. If it hadn't been around one in the morning I'd might had been a tad worried about how odd and bloodied we both looked. Gil ended up having to support me halfway through the walk home. As we turned the final corner and climbed up the front steps, I handed him my front door key then took down my wards surrounding the house with my last little bits of energy. My final memories of that night were being guided down to the couch an

"Ah, orange soda. The drink of champions!" I Laughed. Everyone else grinned back. Besides the fact that we were currently living in a grocery store, being stalked by something and looking for the people that had been lost. From Alex's parents, James' little sister and William's girlfriend, along with Reika's memories being gone too. It was a sobering thought. And I didn't even know who or what I'd lost. I still remembered everyone at school and as far as I knew my parents were still around, and I didn't have any siblings or boyfriend to worry about. So what did I lose? We've all lost something. I swallowed the soda, the citric acid burning my throat on the way down, or maybe it was my thoughts burning with something I couldn't tolerate.

I Felt like a lamb approaching the slaughterhouse. I knew the butcher was still there, but I went and approached my friends. That strange calm. The eery quietness. The blood, oh dear God help me the smell was overpowering. I felt frightened and scared and alone, I was walking in blind. I'd seen my friends taken down in cold blood, I didn't even know if they were alive or dead. My head was turned down to give me a view of my feet moving without my volition. I heard a bang tear though the silence, breaking it sharply in half. I admit it, I jumped about twenty feet in the air. I turned to see a gun pointed at me, That and the gunfire snapped me out of this stupor. I saw a chink in the concrete no more then 5 inches from my foot. The bullet that had been for me I assumed. I Looked back up, and those purple eyes were obscured by his reddish hair. Those weren't his eyes. They were too different, too Detached to be his.
